Quality Ground Anchors for Commercial Use
Introducing the GroundGrabba GR14 Range: Engineered for Superior Strength
Designed with robust construction to withstand heavy loads, our GroundGrabba GR14 range is tailored for commercial applications. Whether anchoring large tarpaulins, shade canopies, festival tents, or securing outdoor lighting fixtures, GroundGrabba has you covered.
Key Features:
- Ideal for large-scale outdoor events, camping structures, and vendor setups
- Suitable for various industries including aviation, film production, and landscaping

Our commercial range GR14 work with the same principal of our GR13 general purpose range only up spec'd. Essentially, the shafts are thicker and lengths are 450mm, 620mm and 905mm.
What You Get
- 2x GroundGrabba Pro Commercial (450mm)
Or
- 2x GroundGrabba Pro I Beta Commercial (620mm)
Or
- 2x GroundGrabba Pro II Commercial (900mm)
Hold Down Capacity
We were asked if our 450mm GR14US will have the same or greater hold down ability as a 900mm spike stake. The simple answer is YES. The more in-depth answer is YES IF the substrate is the same type to the full depth of the ground anchor.
In other words if for example the top 300mm of the ground is loose soil and the next is medium density then the lower part is extremely hard, then the 900mm spike will be held by the hardest of grounds and the 450mm is held by soft and medium density only. Whereas, if it was all sand or all clay then the GR14US (450mm) will surpass the 900mm spike by around a factor of X1.5.
Now if we compare same length spike stake to a GR14 of the same length and girth, then the difference ranges from around X3 to X6!

GroundGrabba Commercial M (GR14UBM)
GroundGrabba Commercial L (GR14UL)
IMPORTANT***Please note that these figures are a guide only. The results are absolute peak readings and you should allow a decent safety margin. Ground types vary. Through the depth of one ground anchor the ground can be of different densities therefore different anchoring characteristics. These all rely on correct deployment.

Additional Information
Adaptors and Accessories:
- We do not currently offer adaptors for specific applications. For adaptor needs, we recommend visiting your local hardware store for D- or Bow Shackles.
Installation Tips:
- Consider adding a 15 x 900mm masonry drill for easier installation, especially on harder grounds.
Product Variants:
- Please note that the M (620mm) model listed here are our initial Beta production prototype range "B". The GR14US and L listed here are the full production models with slightly different specifications to the Beta M model.
- Our full production range GR14UM (no B) with slightly different specifications will launch once current Beta models are sold out.
Usage Recommendations:
- To attach chains or ropes, we suggest using D or Bow shackles rated to suit your load.
- GroundGrabba GR14 range offers superior strength compared to traditional hammer-in spike stakes or vehicle axles. Installed and removed using a high-torque impact drill, they provide greater force and safety without protruding above the ground.
Recommended Tools:
- For driving these into the ground, we recommend a high-torque impact wrench. Consider models like:
- Makita 40v TW001GZ-40v Brushless 3/4" Impact Wrench
- Milwaukee M18 FUEL 2867-20
- Use a masonry drill at least the same length as the GR14 you choose for pilot holes in harder ground.
Important Note:
- GroundGrabba Commercial range is designed for heavy-duty use with a tradie quality heavy-duty impact wrench.
- Please note that these are not toys. Ensure you have a powerful drill, especially for hard ground conditions.
