The Science of the "Grabba" Bite

To understand why GroundGrabba is the portable tent anchor of choice, you have to look at the physics of the soil. Traditional pegs rely on simple friction against a smooth surface. GroundGrabba utilises an Auger Flight Design.

As the anchor spirals into the ground, the wide flights act like a screw thread in wood, but on a much larger scale. This design creates a cone of soil above the flights that must be physically displaced for the anchor to fail. To pull out a GroundGrabba, you would have to lift several kilograms of compacted earth along with it.
